Help Mom or Dad with one chore. / Practice cutting out paper hearts. / Write the ABC’s in uppercase. Is it getting easier? / / Make a Valentine card for someone special. / Count all the fingers of the people in your family. / Act out the story of The Three Bears.
Find a ruler in your house (or at the dollar store). Measure things around the house. / Practice writing your last name. / / Practice making letter sounds of all 26 letters. You can sing “Who Let the Letters Out?” on yourtube.com / Work on tying your shoes. This is tricky, but you can give it a try! / / Go to the Lyon County Library. What was your favorite thing about it?
Have a heart day. Find hearts around the house, eat a heart snack and draw all sizes of hearts. / Play a game together as a family such as Ring Around the Rosie or Simon Says. / Make a puzzle by cutting a cereal box front into pieces. / Practice taking deep breaths and calm down. Smell the flower and blow out the candle. / / Write down how many books you read this month. Is it a bigger number than 20? / What was your favorite activity this month? Give it another try!

These activities are based on the I can statements (standards) for preschoolers. This is meant to be a fun experience for you and your

child. Our goal for your child is to complete at least 15 of the activities on the calendar. When your child completes (or attempts) the

activity, please initial next to it. At the end of the month please return the calendar to school and we will give your child a prize out of the
