We are looking for an individual to help support the Finance Manager.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of financial affairs including system input, budgeting, financial controls and risk management.
The post requires excellent financial and numeracy skills, the ability to work under pressure, attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title:Finance Officer
Reports to:Finance and Internal Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
a)To provide support in maintaining the Financial Management System and the processing of financial transactions.
b)To provide support in the production of budget information, risk and insurance arrangements.
c)To administer and reconcile financial transactions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist in the maintenance and processing of transactions for the Town Council’s financial management system, i.e. purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliation, performance indicators.
- To assist in the preparation of the annual budget, periodic budgetary control reports, monitoring reports and year end accounts.
- Ensuring all bankings received are accounted for, banked promptly and reconciled.
- Administration and reconciliation of the petty cash imprest.
- To assist with the production of the risk register.
- To assist with the administration of the insurance cover.
- Administration of the contracts register.
- Administration of the retail parking permits scheme.
- To undertake such other duties and responsibilitiescommensurate with the level of the post and in accordance with the job purpose, as required by the Town Council.
