PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To be responsible for leadership of the team on a designated bar, to ensure courteous and efficient bar service pre-show, interval and post show at Leeds Grand Theatre.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Support other team members and ensure their understanding and compliance with bar procedures.

·  Arrive for your shift 2 hours before the performance start time, to collect your float, keys and radio.

·  Check stock and delivery.

·  Ensure the team and bar are ready to serve the public and take interval orders from 1 hour prior to performance.

·  Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar throughout your shift with due reference to all Health and Safety Regulations.

·  Report any problems with either the room or equipment to your line manager.

·  Be aware of the laws regarding licensed sales e.g. Challenge 25.

·  At the end of the shift reconcile and cash up the takings and return monies and float to the cash office.

ESSENTIAL

·  Cash handling experience.

·  An ability to be organised and accurate when working under pressure.

·  Ability to work well both as a member of a team and on your own.

·  Willingness to work unsociable hours when required.

·  Strong numeracy skills.

DESIRABLE

·  Experience of team leading.

·  Previous experience of bar work.

·  Experience of working in a customer service environment.
