Career and Technology Education (CATE) Courses

High school students in Dillon School District Four have the opportunity to enroll in courses that are aligned with industry-recognized standards. Students that successfully complete approved Career and Technology Education (CATE) courses acquire credits toward receiving a South Carolina high school diploma. Students also acquire work-related knowledge and skills. CATE coursework establishes a connection to future goals which motivates students to work harder and enroll in more rigorous courses. Some of the approved CATE courses in Dillon School District Four are offered at the high schools and some are offered at the Dillon County Technology Center. Counselors at Dillon High School and Lake View High School meet with students annually to develop school schedules based on required courses for graduation and future career goals.

The courses noted below have been approved for the 2014-2015 school year. Some of the courses are offered on the two high school campuses, while others are offered at the Dillon County Technology Center.
