“2016 Office Makeover” Photo Contest

Calling all OTA photographers- along with our website update, we have been busy at the office the last few weeks preparing for our new “look.” Along with the paint, new carpet, flooring, and other renovation projects, we need some new artwork, too! We’re looking for help from our members to send their best truck-related photos. The winning photo(s) will be enlarged and printed on a canvas to hang in our office. Although there will only be one grand prize winner, we may select others to be printed/displayed throughout OTA’s. In addition, the winner will receive a $50 gift card, be featured in the fall 2016 edition of the Dispatch magazine, and have their artwork displayed on our website and social media pages.Please reference the contest rules below for entry form and photo submission information.

“2016 Office Makeover” Photo Contest

OFFICAL RULES

  1. Submissions will only be accepted with a completed entry form with your name, company name, role/title, address, email address, and phone number. The name that corresponds to the photos submitted must be listed in the entry form. Forms may be sent via email: , fax: 503-513-0008, or mail: Oregon Trucking Associations, 4005 SE Naef Rd., Portland, OR 97267.
  1. The contest is open to all professional and/or amateur photographers, but only high resolution professional camera-grade photos will be accepted (minimum 5400x3600 pixels to be enlarged to 20x30 minimum canvas size). Photo must be ready for enlargement/print.Please submit all photos via .jpg (.jpeg) format with corresponding photo name. Submissions will be accepted via USB drive either mailed or hand-delivered to our address or shared via a personal online viewing/downloading site, such as Dropbox with .Due to size constraints of high resolution photos, please contact us if you plan to enter photos using a different method such asan email attachment.Because photos will be enlarged, photos taken via cell phone will not be accepted (unless they meet the minimum requirements).
  1. Each entrant in the contest is responsible for ensuring that he or she has the right to submit the photos that he/she submits to the contest.Photo must be a single work of original material (taken by you, and not copied/edited from the internet, etc.).
  1. Photo(s) must be truck-themed (contain a truck or likeness of a truck). Although there is no limit to the number of photos an individual can submit, please use one entry form per every three photos. Any submission deemed unacceptable by OTA staff will not be considered.
  1. The contest begins August 5, 2016. Deadline for entries is October 15, 2016. The winner will be announced via in the Dispatch and will beposted to our website and/or social media sites. The winner will also be notified via email or phone.
  1. The contest is only open to businesses and employees that are listed as active members of Oregon Trucking Associations at the time of entry.
  1. The grand prize winner will be awarded a $50.00 Visa gift card.
  1. By submitting your photo for consideration, you grant Oregon Trucking Associations a royalty-free, nonexclusive right, in perpetuity, to:
  2. Use/reproduce the photograph on the Internet in support of our mission.
  3. Use/reproduce the photograph in Oregon Trucking Associations publications.
  4. Provide your photograph to other individuals and organizations for non-commercial use, in news stories, newsletters, reports, slide shows, displays, web pages (including social media), and the like.
  5. Use/reproduce, in connection with the photo contest, your name, city, state and country of residence in promotions and other publications.
  6. Keep the files provided, and to archive the images on CD or in other electronic forms, so that your photos can be used to support our mission and be properly credited.
  1. As a condition of this permission, OTA shall credit all photographs with the caption "© Person's Name" when the full name is available.
  1. By entering, participants agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Oregon Trucking Associations, its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents and representatives, from any and all third party liability for any injuries, loss, claim, action, demand or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the competition (collectively, "Losses"), including without limitation any third party claim for copyright infringement or a violation of an individual’s right to privacy and/or publicity right. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.
  1. Oregon Trucking Associations is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the photo competition, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions to the photo competition, including but not limited to any misprints or typographical errors. Oregon Trucking Associations assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Oregon Trucking Associations is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer equipment, servers, providers, computer on-line systems, software, or failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, including injury or damage to participant's or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or uploading images or information in the photo contest.
  1. If, for any reason, the photo competition is not capable of completion as planned, including but not limited to, any reason of infection by computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Oregon Trucking Associations that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the photo competition, Oregon Trucking Associations reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the photo competition.
  1. By participating, all entrants acknowledge and agree that they have entered the contest of their own free will and that the full rules and details of the contest have been made available to them.
