Making The Best Cup on Hot Chocolate
Purpose: To make the best cup of hot chocolate
Question: How can I make the best cup of hot chocolate?
Hypothesis: (skip this time)
Material: ● 1- tablespoon coco powder ● 1 cup 2% milk
● a pinch of salt ● 6 mini marshmallows
● 1 Tablespoon of sugar
Equipment: ● measuring spoons ●1 - measuring cup
● 1-teaspoon ● small saucepan
● 1 large mug● Stove
Procedure:
- Measure one tablespoon of coco powder and place the powder in the large mug.
- Add 1 small pinch of salt and 1 tablespoon of sugar to the coco powder
- Place the saucepan on the stovetop.
- Measure one cup of milk
- Take 2 tablespoons of the milk in the measuring cup and add to the coco, salt, sugar mixture.
- Mix well with the teaspoon until no lumps remain. Make observation in the table.
- .Put the remaining milk in the saucepan and heat on medium high heat, while stirring constantly with spoon, until you see steam starting to rise from the surface. DO NOT BOIL. Make observation in the table.
- Pour the hot milk into the large mug slowly, stirring as you add the milk, to mix all ingredients. Make observation in the table.
- Top with mini marshmallows and enjoy. Make observation in the table.

Observations:
STEP / OBSERVATION6 / The mixture becomes smooth and thick as I stir
7 / I see tiny bubbles and steam evaporating from the surface. I remove from heat.
8 / The coco mixture mixes well with the hot milk as I stir.
9 / The marshmallows float on the top and it tastes good.

Conclusion:
This really was the best cup of hot chocolate.
Scientific Errors:
- Poor measurements
- Perhaps the milk was too hot
- Spilt a bit of the milk
