‘Sports’ Exhaust Choice
Quicksilver have designed twostainless steel exhaust systems for the 4.4 litre V8 and the TD6 Range Rovers to enable owners to choose the sound required – ‘Sports’ for Quiet Depth or ‘SuperSports’for a Crisp Roar.
We also offer a choice of tail-pipes – Twin Oval or Quad Round.
Designed, Tested and Evolvedover two years by the QuickSilver design team, these new systems bothimprove on the look and sound of the factory exhaust. With an impressive sound profile and wonderful looks the V8 ‘Supersports’ system delivered an impressive extra 17bhp during dyno-testing.
With this increase in performance you might expect a proportional rise in decibels. Fine on short trips but very tiring on those long motorway journeys at cruising speeds - With their ‘Sports’ system Quicksilver have cleverly eliminated this problem.Compared to the original system, at up to 2000rpm there is a louder, deeper note to the exhaust. At 4000rpm (motorway cruising speed) it is actually quieter. Push on to 6000rpm and it emits an equal number of decibels.
However, for those who prefer their exhaust to sound sporty throughout the rev. range QuickSilver offers themore direct ‘SuperSports’ alternative.
Attention to detail has always been a hallmark of Quicksilver products and this is no exception. Using type 304 austenitic stainless steel, the pipes are mandrel bent to keep a constant internal diameter throughout the length ensuring an even flow of exit gases.All have a polished transverse rear muffler/silencer that replaces the OE and provides a much tidier viewof the lower rear of this car.The tail pipes too are beautifully detailed with smart perforated cone inserts contained by neatly rolled edges.

Silencers
There are 2 Silencers: 'Sports' and 'SuperSports'. (Both have the same external appearance)
'Sports'-V8 only – Quiet Depth - We have improvedthe internal to provide better throttle response, a pleasant increase in volume at lower revs, at higher revs (from 2800 rpm up it produces the same volume as OE) and better efficiency (+12 bhp) - Most drivers will enjoy this for regular high-mileageuse.
'SuperSports'- V8 & TD6–Crisp Roar - Has even better flow, less weight from the rear of the car (- 16 lbs), even betterefficiency (+17 bhp on V8 and significantlyquicker turbo response on TD6) and a wonderful sound with more volume throughout the revs. We have worked to producea distinctive smooth exhaust sound that that enhances the enjoyment of this luxury car.
Tail-Pipes
There are 2 tail-pipe options: ‘Twin Oval’ or‘Quad Round’.
'Twin Ovals'- This has been the most popular, they neatly match the notches in the rear bumper and include our 'Perfed' tail-pipe lining toeliminate any unpleasant megaphone-effect. (The new Range Rover Sports system is very similar to this).
'Quad Rounds'- This is a new option. These have four 90mm Round polished tips. These tail-pipes have greater depth of sound but no unpleasant side-effects.
