ELIZABETH MOYER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

In 1980, the Rotary Club of Feasterville established the Elizabeth Moyer Memorial Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded annually to graduating high school students who are residents of the territory serviced by the Club. The $1000 awards are to be used to defray the cost of post-high school study. They are granted to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, and provide support and encouragement for further study.

Eligible applicants must live in Lower Southampton Township or in the Trevose area of Bensalem Township. Each must rank academically in the top twenty percent of his/her high school class. Applicants from schools which do not rank students will be considered on an individual basis at the discretion of the Trustees.

Applicants must also participate in some form of community service activity. Those students who are unable to participate in such activities due to employment commitments outside of school will not be excused from this requirement. However, such applications will be considered on an individual basis. Financial need will also be considered in determining scholarship awards.

Applicants will be initially screened by the Trustees of the Scholarship Fund, who will select those applicants to be interviewed. The Committee will conduct interviews during the month of April or May.

If in the opinion of the Trustees, no qualified applicants are available, no awards will be made and the award recipients are at the sole discretion of the Trustees of the Elizabeth Moyer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
