NORTHAMPTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO HOLD PART OF A MEETING OF CABINET IN PRIVATE
In accordance with Regulation 5 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012, a notice must be published at least 28 clears days’ in advance of a meeting of the executive of the local authority, of an intention to hold all or part of its meeting in private.
Notice is hereby given that Cabinet intends to hold part of a meeting in private. The date of the meeting, the decision that Cabinet intends to consider in private and a statement of the reasons why this part of the meeting is to be held in private is set out below:

REPORT TITLE: SEMLEP Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone: Proposed Development of Building One at Four Waterside, St. Peter’s Way.

INFORMATION LIKELY TO BE EXEMPT: (REPORT/APPENDIX) Heads of Terms and other information of a commercial nature.
STATEMENT OF REASONS WHY THIS PART OF THE MEETING IS TO BE HELD IN PRIVATE:
In order to protect the Council’s Financial and Legal interests.
Consideration of the information in public would give rise to the disclosure of exempt information as described in paragraph [3 & 5] of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 -

At least 5 clear days before the meeting in question, a further notice will be published of Cabinet’s intention to hold part of the meeting in private. This further notice will include a statement of the reasons for part of the meeting to be held in private; details of any representations received by Cabinet about why the meeting should be open to the public; and a statement of its response to any such representations.
A final decision on whether this item will be determined in private will be taken during the meeting.
