Fall Newsletter – 2013

Recent Events:

The Board is glad to see that the new fences are almost completed. The last minute inspection items are to be completed in early September. What an improvement to the development. However, a huge reminder to all that in no way is there to be any permanent attachment to gates or fences.

Another new addition to the property in early July was a new dumpster at the corner of 143rd and Tunnel Avenue. As old dumpsters are replaced, all owners should be sure that we do not place items in them that cause damage such as large furnishings, mattresses, and such.

This past spring, buildings 403,405, and 407 mailboxes were relocated to the parking lot. At that time, an outgoing mailbox was added to the new mailboxes for your use.

April 2014 is the 30 year anniversary of the construction of Whispering Woods Condominiums.

As was discussed at the annual meeting in April, the 30 year anniversary of WW is next spring. A discussion was held regarding the owners and the association holding a wine/beer appetizer/ food affair on the evening of our work day in the spring (in lieu of a noon picnic). To accomplish this activityyour Board is looking for several unit owners to volunteer to help with the planning of the event and to help out during the event. We need to have first of all a major volunteer to be in charge of the event. Hopefully it would be a fun time and we could possibly invite some of our old officers that are still in the area.

Volunteers would be needed to help with the following: getting the area of the parking lot in order for the evening, planning food and drinks, checking the weather in case we needed to find out regard a tent rental, helping make “special invitations” to owners, etc.

Fall-Winter information Reminders

1. Please remember to turn off your water to the unit at the MAIN shutoff valve. This stops many of the leaks for downstairs units.
2. For winter be sure to set your thermostat on heat and set to no lower than 55 degrees F.
3. For fall weather (when storms approach) secure or stow away all loose items on decks or in courtyards such as umbrellas, furniture, bikes, etc.

Heat Pump Reminder:

Please verify that your unit number is on your outdoor heat pump so if a problem you can be notified sooner than later. Also, do check around the heat pump for any debris that may have accumulated under and beside it and remove.
