Note:The winners of the Dave Kensit Scholarship will be notified by February 2018 and receive

a cheque for $750.00 after sending a 4x6 photo – the type being the choice of the winner, to

theDave Kensit Memorial Scholarship address listed on the cover sheet.

Dave Kensit Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship has been established in the name of Dave Kensit for his valuable contribution to swimming in the Northeastern Region. It is intended to assist swimmers in thecontinuation of their education and competitive endeavours.

The Dave Kensit Memorial Scholarship is available only once, the year that the swimmer first attends college or university.

Criteria

  1. The applicant must have been a member of the Northeastern Region at the time of the

previous Long Course Championships.

2. The applicant must be registered with Swim Ontario.

3.The applicant is attending college or university.

4. The applicant is swimming on the College or University swim team.

5. The applicant is a first year, full-time student.

6. Athletes who are not carded provinciallymaybe given preference.

7.One scholarship will be allowed each year in the amount of $750.00.

There are five (5) categories that the selection committee will consider, with equal weighting, in making their decision as to the successful applicant.

The selection will be made exclusively on the information provided.

It is therefore important that you describe, in detail, your participation and achievements while being registered with a swim club in the Northeast Region.

Only the applications that are on this form will be considered for evaluation by the committee. All other submissions will be discarded.
