Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund

The APIASF General Scholarship Program awarded over $1.6 million in scholarships in 2017. Scholarships range from one-time $2,500 awards to multiyear $20,000 awards. Recipients have taken the PSAT/NMSQT and are discovered through Student Search Service.

Lyceum Scholars Program

The Lyceum Scholars Program at Clemson University is now excepting applications for fall 2018. Students accepted into this program receive $10,000 scholarships to Clemson University. South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship Program

The South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation offers scholarship aid to deserving students who meet certain academic criteria. Applicants must be residents of South Carolina attending a high school in the state or undergraduates in a South Carolina college or university. Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship

This scholarship offers aid to deserving students who meet certain academic and financial criteria. Applicants must be residents of South Carolina, and have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale through the spring 2017 semester. Applicants must have a combined SAT score of 1100 or a composite ACT score of 26. The household adjusted income must not exceed $40,000. Apply online at The deadline to apply is January 15, 2018.

Marian Garrett Student Scholarship

This scholarship is a $1,500. award. Applicants must complete a SCAEOP Scholarship Application form; write a one-page biographical sketch on “Why I Chose a Career in Business”. Secure three letters of recommendation from (1) counselor, or other school administrator; (2) a business education teacher; (3) a community member other than a SCAEOP member or family member. Lastly, an official high school transcript. Submit these items along with the application to the SCAEOP scholarship committee at the address stated on the application form. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2017.

South Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals Student Scholarship

This scholarship is a $1,500 award. Applicants must complete a SCAEOP Scholarship Application form; write a one-page essay on “What career have you chosen to pursue and why”. Secure three letters of recommendations from; (1) a counselor, or other school administrator, (2) a teacher, (3) a community member other than a SCAEOP member or family member. Lastly, an official high school transcript. Submit these items along with the application to the SCAEOP scholarship committee at the address stated on the application form. ACT Student Champion Award

Applications are open for the ACT Student Champion Award. This award recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place. ACT Student Champions receive a $500. non-renewable scholarship, certificate, plaque, and state-level recognition. Students must have a composite ACT score of a 22 on a single test date or a 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first-generation college students. 2017-2018 Legal Scholarship

All applicants must be currently pursuing a law related degree or be accepted into a legal program, must currently hold or anticipate a high school diploma or GED within the 2017-2018 school year, and currently hold a 3.0 or higher GPA. National Beta Scholarship Program

This year, National Beta will award over 250 scholarships, ranging in value from $1,000 to $15,000, to deserving 12th grade Beta members. Apply online at Applications open November 1, 2017. The deadline to apply is January 25, 2018.

2018 Walker Morgan Scholarship

Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants or direct family members must have been personally affected by an injury of some type. Judging for this scholarship will take into account three factors: academic achievements, achievements outside of school, written response to the question. The award is $2,500. The American Legion Department of South Carolina High School Oratorical Scholarship Program

The purpose of The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program “A Constitutional Speech Contest” is to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. Other objectives of the contest include the development of leadership, the ability to think and speak clearly and intelligently, and the preparation for acceptance of the duties and responsibilities, the rights and privileges of American citizenship. Honoring the legacy and character of our nation's 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education.
Each year, the Program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years - up to $40,000 total per recipient. Awards are for undergraduate study and may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. In addition, Scholars are invited to participate in a special awards program.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
A) Demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
B) Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
C) Be citizens of the United States of America;
D) Be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and homeschooled students are also eligible); and
E) Plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
In addition, semifinalists must be nominated by an eligible community leader, such as a high school principal, elected official or executive director of a nonprofit organization, and must provide documentation to certify academic performance and financial need. National Merit Scholarship Program

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT)-a test which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.6 million entrants each year-and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
Student Entry Requirements
To participate in the National Merit Scholarship Program, a student must:
A) Take the PSAT/NMSQT in the specified year of the high school program and no later than the third year in grades 9 through 12, regardless of grade classification or educational pattern;
B) Be enrolled as a high school student (traditional or homeschooled), progressing normally toward graduation or completion of high school, and planning to enroll full time in college no later than the fall following completion of high school; and
C) Be a citizen of the United States; or be a U.S. lawful permanent resident (or have applied for permanent residence, the application for which has not been denied) and intend to become a U.S. citizen at the earliest opportunity allowed by law.Go to Scholarship Application:

Kelly Law Autism/ASD Scholarship

The Kelly Law Team (KLT) is pleased to announce that it will be offering a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for individuals with autism. The scholarship will be used to assist in the pursuit secondary or post-secondary educational opportunities.
Description of the ASD Scholarship
The $1,000 scholarship will be in the form of a tuition payment for the attendance at a university, college, junior college, or trade or vocational school. It is not required that the individual be enrolled in an educational program at the time of the submission of his or her application, but must be used within a year after the award. The funds will be provided directly to the educational institution chosen by the winner.
Eligibility
Applicants must be United States citizens who have been diagnosed with ASD.
Application Deadline and Requirements
The completed application must be submitted to us no later than February 8, 2018. The application will consist of (a) the online application, (b) a statement of 100 words or less explaining how the scholarship will assist in achieving your educational goals, and (c) an optional essay (1,000 words or less) on how autism has affected your education. We may also ask you to provide us with evidence of your diagnosis.
The winner will be chosen on or before March 8, 2018. The winner will be selected at the discretion of John Kelly, whose decision will be final.

2018 Journalism Contest topic: “Inclusion Drives Innovation”

The winner of the 2018 Journalism Contest receives a four-year scholarship to the South Carolina state-supported institution of his or her choice provided, of course, that the winner is otherwise qualified. The scholarship pays for undergraduate tuition and fees. Each institution has its own definition of tuition and fees. The winner must be able to verify financial need to the chosen state-supported institution, which typically requires completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Colleges and universities recommend that students in financial need complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 of the year they will enroll to establish eligibility for student aid. This may require providing income tax return information. The FAFSA is available at The scholarship may be canceled if the recipient does not maintain general scholastic and conduct standards established by the institution.

Eligibility

• must be a South Carolinian 16 to 19 years old;

• must not have entered a post-secondary school before March 1, 2018; and

• must be a high school senior, or otherwise qualified to begin post-secondary education no later than the 2018–2019 school year.

Jostens Scholarship

Jostens is giving away 2 - $5,000 scholarships this year just for using a hash tag on social media.
The campaign will officially launch on Monday, October 30th and be promoted on Jostens.com, and in national social media posts.

THE CHESTER HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1987 SCHOLARSHIP

This is a $250 scholarship is available to seniors at Chester High School. Applicants must have an acceptance letter from a college/university. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and display leadership abilities in school activities or through work experience. A GPA of 2.5 or higher is required.
