Position Title:
Full-time, System Admin. Local candidates (Los Angeles & Southern California) only.

We are looking for a talented Systems Administrator (Windows Server environment) who, technically speaking, has a breadth of knowledge equally as strong as a depth of knowledge. You will have a lot of autonomy in this role, and you will be working with the latest and greatest technologies, so a genuine interest in staying ahead of the quickly evolving technology curve is essential. Here are the technical specifics of what we're looking for exactly:
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of network and systems administration for a Windows Server environment
- Experience in the planning and administration of an NetApp infrastructure
- Experience architecting and troubleshooting Active Directory and Exchange
- Experience with VMware ESX 3.5,
- Working knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle
- Someone who loves working with the latest and greatest technologies & someone who proactively stays up to speed with these changes.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact well with multiple levels of management.
- Good technical and analytical skills.
BONUS:
- Experience with Symantec Backup Exec on an enterprise level
- Exposure to firewalls, routers & switches
Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
Reviewing and monitoring critical backup operations at the site.
Providing hardware break/fix support and/or associated hands and feet for vendors and/or vendor escort
Support, coordination and/or oversight of data center shutdown and startup efforts and other data center related maintenance activities.
Manage relationship with, and/or coordinate with off-site data media storage provider.
Perform media rotations (tape or other) as necessary to support backup operations.
Assist with system patching, perform labeling of power connectors, oversee and/or coordinate data center cleaning activities.
Support voice-data equipment rooms.
Perform backup job checks and monitor for the success failure of critical configuration items (CIs).
Assist Sr. Systems Analyst with various systems administration tasks as needed.
Provide operations reports and/or assist with provide trending information and root cause analysis data.
Provide 24x7 on-call support of production system issues.
Assist with documentation as needed to support various cross-functional areas.
Interact closely with management, engineers, application resources, Database Administrators, Windows and UNIX Administrators, and Architects to plan and support the environments
Participate in project meetings.
Assist with disaster recovery and/or disaster recovery exercises as necessary.
Able to organize and schedule tasks, develop realistic action plans, and incorporate time constraints and task priorities.
Ability to take initiative and work with minimum direction in a high demand environment.
Works effectively as a team member and works well in a collaborative environment.
Possesses the ability to present results to management in a professional manner.
Has excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
