The Benefits

Identify the benefits to be realized if the project is approved. Benefits may include but are not limited to quality of life, and potential reduction in health costs by being more active. The team needs to consult with a health care provider or medical journals to provide quantifiable proof.
Benefits may also be realized by way of increased home values and overall desirability of DeBary as a community. The team will need to consult with various real estate developers and brokers for validation.
Another possible benefit is the draw to the community by developers of senior communities.
The above are provided as examples and the team will need to determine the actual benefits and provide the empirical data to support their findings.

The Requirements

Instructions
Notify the community of the proposed project and solicit the community for ideas. Visit other communities and discuss with the local Parks and Recreation departments their specific features; ask questions such as what would you do differently. Also visit web sites for similar parks in other communities.
Identify the specific features to be include in the proposed park. Those features may include exercise equipment, proximity to the children’s features, quiet space, game tables, etc.
Include justification for each feature.
Relative to equipment, obtain product descriptions, costs and warranties from multiple vendors.
Identify the potential park locations, square feet required, and provide an aerial view of the location with an overlay sketch of the placement of the features.
