Prezi Basics At A Glance
Getting Started:
- Open a new project.
- Double click and add all your text. Double click each time you add a new thought.
- Drag text around to organize thoughts once they are on the canvas.
- Use the Zoom buttons on the side to zoom into a word to hide phrases or thoughts.
Zebra Wheel:
- Center wheel – move a phrase
- Inner wheel – to resize and scale the text
- Outer wheel – rotate the text ( use sparingly as it can make you car sick)
Adding images:
- Collect all images first and store them in MY PICS or on the desktop for easy browsing
- Click INSERT and BROWSE and then SELECT the picture/image needed and OPEN
- Use the Zebra wheel to manipulate the image in the same manner as text
Adding Frames:
- Frames help to create a new path…you would use a frame to center on a main idea before looking at the details of that idea
- Choose a frame type…they all work essentially the same way…it is all about how you want your presentation to look
- Draw the frame so that it encircles the text
- Frames add an extra path step
Determine the Path:
- Zoom out first so that you can see what your big picture looks like
- Click sections of your canvas in the order that you would like it to appear in the presentation
- To reset…undo a selection or start the process over completely
