Introduction

This document is a general guide for Managers/Team Leaders and New Employeesto assist in the orientation of new employees.

It is designed to:

  • Ensure new employees are thoroughly initiated into the daily processes of DCH
  • Facilitate a smooth transition into the organisation
  • Ensure that new employees are provided with complete information about DCH and the context in which we operate.

The checklist is a flexible guide which may need to be amending to suit the particular role or site. General time frames are suggested.

Once completed, the checklist is to be signed by theemployee and their Manager/ Team Leader and returned Human Resources who will arrange for it to be filed in the personnel file.

The Team Leader/Manager is responsible for organising training or information sessions if required for new employees.
