XYZ Child Care Enrolls in Early Achievers, Washington’s Quality Rating and Improvement System

Enrollment demonstrates commitment to offering high quality to children and families

City, WA – XYZ Child Care is among the latest facilities in Washington to enroll in Early Achievers, our state’s quality rating and improvement system. By enrolling, XYZ Child Care demonstrates its commitment to high-quality child care, and will participate in intense training and coaching to improve its program and enhance what it is already doing well.

“Quote about why XYZ Child Care joined Early Achievers” said Jane Doe, Center Director. About one-third of the state’s licensed child care providers have signed on, making XYZ Child Care a leader in quality improvement.

Parents who see the Early Achievers logo can be assured that the child care facility they are entering is committed to quality care and early learning by adhering to best practices. Families can ask about Early Achievers when they call the Child Care Aware of Washington family hotline or when using Child Care Check.

Early Achievers is a free and voluntary program open to licensed child care facilities. Administered by the Washington State Department of Early Learning using Federal Race to the Top – Early Learning Challenge grant dollars, Early Achievers is implemented in partnership with Child Care Aware of Washington.

XYZ Child Care is proud to be participating in Early Achievers, which provides financial assistance for staff to attend college and other financial incentives including quality improvement awards and higher subsidy reimbursement rates.

After successfully completing required trainings and site visits, participants receive an independent evaluation conducted by the University of Washington. The result is a quality rating of between 2 and 5. A rating of 3 or higher is considered to be at a Quality Level of Excellence.

Additionally, a site may be singled out for recognition in one or more of the following areas:

·  Interactions and Environment

·  Curriculum and Staff Supports

·  Professionalism

·  Family Engagement and Partnerships

·  Child Outcomes
