4.1 SMHC Leadership group /
Geoff provided a brief overview of the SMHC Strategic plan and spoke about the role of the collaborative in supporting initiatives that make a difference, assisting in creating a consortium for PIR. He provided some PIR feedback – provision of working groups and advisory groups occurred to establish a PIR model in preparation for GMSBMedicare local’s application. Further meetings will be held to discuss Support Facilitator numbers, roles and skill set required along with areas/locations of need. / Strategic Plan

4.2 Working Parties
A, Mental Health Week Working Party / Zoe & Helena requested members for the 2013 Sanity Fair working Party.
The benefit of becoming a member of the Working Party:
· Invited to attend regular meetings and meet people who share the same interest
· Raise profile of your service
· Develop and contribute skills in communication, marketing and promotion, fundraising, meeting facilitation, volunteer management, entertainment organisation and site planning
· A valuable opportunity to marshal resources and address any concerns from previous events through collaborative effort
· Share the excitement of developing a community project
Jacqueline noted GRILLED at Garden City has a community donation program and they have chosen Sanity Fair as one of their community groups this month. You need to visit Grilled, buy something and place a token in the Sanity Fair box. $500 is split between 3 community organisations.
BBQ’s were a big fundraiser this year, help is needed to divide the workload, possibly share the BBQ’s by NGO’s on a monthly basis. / Letter of invitation to join the group. Please read.

B, Family/Carers Working Party / Ruth provided feedback:
· The group has been meeting since May 2012
· Chair: Yvonne Donnan – Program manager Brisbane South Carers Queensland.
· Planning day July – TOR established, directions for the group.
· Participated in Sanity Fair by having a family and carer information stall.
· Yvonne coordinated a carer consultation in relation to PIR.
· Participated in carers week at FSG Sunnybank
· Presentation by Lauri Andriske at the recent Metro South Allied Health Strength in Partnerships Showcase Forum in November 2012. / Further enquires to Yvonne Donnan / Planning meeting on 13/02/1013 at carers Queensland Logan Road Office.
5 New Business
5.3 FSG Holiday Home / Michael - New Holiday Home at Redlands ‘Moora Moora’ part of Connections program.
· Peer Run, staff trained in IPS
· Predominantly for people who have carers in South Brisbane
· Max 4 day holiday stay
· Pool, activities

5.4 Selection of Chair & Secretariat for 2013 / Members present asked to select Chair and Secretariat:
· Chair: Geoff Larcome (Aftercare) Proxy: Nathan Bollard (FSG)
· Secretariat: Carla Piggott (Metro South Mental Health)
5.5 Meeting location / Discussed possible use of Mt Gravatt Progress Hall (1873 Logan Road, Upper Mt Gravatt) as permanent location for general meetings. Group agreed to this location. – Free with NGO application.
· All agreed 2013 meeting dates and time. / Carla to investigate available dates with Brook RED.
