You will:
- Select a topic to research and write a proposal explaining why you chose that topic.
- Research atopic related to the theme of “Taking a Stand in History” & use an Annotated Resource Set to keep track of your sources.
- Write a 1 ½ - 2 page paper (following the criteria & format provided) on the Taking a Stand in History topic you have selectedwith an annotated bibliography
- Choose a project to create from the following list (Exhibit, Documentary, Dramatic Performance, Web Page). Write a 1-page process paper describing the steps of historical inquiry you took throughout the History Day process.
Directions for Part ONE – Research & the Research Paper:
You will be responsible for choosing, researching, and writing a report about ONE specifictopic relating to Taking a Stand in History. A sample list of topics you can choose from is on the last page of this packet. You will write a short 1-paragraph proposal explaining why you chose your topic and why it’s important in history. Remember, you will be responsible for citing your sources. As you complete your research, use the Annotated Resource Set (ARS) sheet to write down your sources and an outline to note the information from your sources. You will use your outline to write a rough draft. You will edit and revise your rough draft. You will use your revised rough draft to write your final draft. You will write an annotated bibliography using MLA format. This part of the project will be worth 525 points.

- You may also include any additional information you feel is important to know about your topic.

Include an annotated bibliography using MLA format
