FOS Safety Poster Competition 2015

Create poster that displays the safe laboratory practices.

Contest ends on 14 September 2015, 12 noon. Attractive prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Winners. All participants are eligible for lucky draw during Science Safety Day 2015 on 23September 2015.

  • This competition is open to all Faculty of Science staff and students. Up to five members per team.
  • Entries will be judged by the Faculty Safety Committee Team based on relevance & creativity.
  • The posters should address safety & health related matters in laboratory or other areas within FOS. The following are some examples of topics:

-Chemical Safety- Office Safety

-Biological Safety- Fire Safety

-Radiation Safety- Emergency Preparedness

- Electrical Safety

  • Photography can be used for the poster design.
  • Entries must be saved in JPEG, PSD or PDFformat in high resolution and submitted in a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM. Size of the poster should be A4 (210x297mm) or A3 (297mmx420mm). The resolution for the files should be a minimum of 300 dpi.
  • Entries must be submitted by the following way: Complete the Safety PosterCompetition Entry Form and send via e-mail to the respective coordinators listed below.

  • Participants stand a chance to win attractive prizes.
  • Posters that submitted to other competitions previously are not eligible.
  • All submitted entries may be used for the purpose of promotion and training by FOS. FOS may, in their absolute discretion and in such manner as they deem fit, use the entries or parts of the entries for the said purposes without any reference to or acknowledgement of the participants.

HOW TO ENTER: Submit safety poster that relate to safety, science and research in the workplace by using the Safety Poster Entry Form.
