Dates for Seniors to turn in service hours

12 hours due from your junior year by Friday, November 5, 2015.

12 hours due from your senior year by Friday, April 22, 2016.

Consequences if you don’t get your hours in on time: you will be dismissed from NHS and will not get to wear the prestigious stole when you graduate. Exceptions for an extension will only be granted if approved by speaking directly to Mrs. Chidester, Mrs. Fetters or Mrs. Whitmire.

Service Hours are posted on the NHS web site on Mrs. Chidester’s web page. They are updated monthly. Use the form posted on the website for service hours.

9 + 3 = 12 Rule for Service Hours— You cannot get all your service hours from one place. You must have at least two (2) different groups that you volunteer with. You must have a minimum of 3 hours from the second source.

Notice the meeting dates are different this year. There are fewer dates and the meetings are no longer during homeroom.

Seniors are expected to attend the induction ceremony this year.

Seniors that wish to earn service hours during the induction ceremony may help with attendance before the ceremony and with food after the ceremony. See Mrs. Chidester, Mrs. Fetters or Mrs. Whitmire if you are interested.
