Dear Swim Coach,

We would like to invite you to our Seventh Annual Trojan Invitational to be held on January 9, 2010.

The meet will be held at South Georgia College Wellness Center located on the campus of South Ga. College. The facility has a 25-yard, six-lane pool with bleacher seating inside and a joining patio with tables and chairs on the outside. If the weather doesn’t cooperate the gym area adjacent to the pool will be used to house all swimmers.

Please remind your swimmers that we are the guests of South Ga. College and that the team will be held responsible for any damages to the facility. It is very important that swimmers stay in the areas that are designated for meet use only.

Concessions will be available and there will be a hospitality room for the coaches.

Your team’s attendance will help make the meet a success for another year, so come and join the fun and swim fast.

7th. Annual Swim Meet

JANUARY 9, 2010

HOST: Coffee High School

LOCATION: South Georgia College Wellness Center, Douglas GA

FACILITIES: 6-lane, 25-yard pool with electronic timing. Limited seating on deck for spectators but patio area joins pool deck with chairs and tables. Gym area will be available for all swimmers.

RULES: School must be a member of GHSA. All contestants must be enrolled in grade 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grades and be in good standing with Georgia High School Association. All entrants must have current eligibility on file with GHSA. Each team must be accompanied by a coach, faculty member or other person appointed by the principal of the school to represent the interest of the school and the swimmer.

MEET TIMES: January 9, 2010. Warm-ups start at 8:30 am. A schedule will be posted. Teams traveling the longest distances will have the latest warm-up times. Coaches meeting at 9:30 am and meet starts at 10:00 am. Concessions will be available in the lobby of the Wellness Center.

SCORING: First through sixth places will be scored in each individual event as well as relay events. Scoring for individual events will be 7-5-4-3-2-1 and 14 –10- 8- 6 – 4 – 2 for relay events.

AWARDS: Trophies will be presented to the first, second and third place teams both male and female.

FEES: Individual events $3.00 and relays $10.00. A $1.00 surcharge will need to be added per swimmer to cover cost of the timing equipment. All fees are due on day of meet. Make check payable to: Coffee High School

ENTRIES: Each team will have unlimited entries but only the four fastest entries per individual event will be scored and the two fastest entries per relay event. Each swimmer may enter a maximum of four events, no more than two of which may be individual events.

Entry Forms: Along with entry please include address, phone and email address of coach in charge.

BEHAVIOR: We are guests of South Georgia College. Please make every effort to keep facilities clean. NO GLASS CONTAINERS OR FOOD WILL BE ALLOWED ON POOL DECK. NO GLASS CONTAINERS OF ANY KIND WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE WELLNESS CENTER.

DIRECTIONS: If coming from the Camden area travel Hwy. 40 to Folkston take right onto US 1 to Waycross follow by pass US –82(SR-520) around Waycross. Turn right onto SR-158 (Douglas Hwy) continue on 158 turn left onto Hwy 441 South continue until you come to Diary Queen on left take right at red light into South Ga. College then first left on Floyd Road. Parking in parking lot or next to Ball field.

From Albany to Douglas – Take US-82 (SR –520) to Tifton stay on US 82 East until you come to 319 to (Ocilla) follow 319 into Ocilla when you get into Ocilla you’ll be on HWY 32 follow HWY 32 East all the way into Douglas. Continue on HWY32 East until you come to Peterson Ave. Hwy 441(Court House will be on your left and Sun Trust Bank will be on your right) at red light. Take a right on Peterson Ave. (hwy 441South) travel south counting the red lights and at the 3rd. red light take a right (College Park Dr., South Georgia College) then take 1st. left at Floyd Rd. follow road. Parking in parking lot or near ball field.

From Macon I-16--- Travel east on I-16 until you reach the exit for McRae/441 South take that exit and travel 441 south for 65 miles. When entering Douglas stay on HWY 441 south starting at the highways split (one way) count the red lights until you reach the 7th. light take a right into SGC then take the 1st. left onto Floyd Road follow road into parking lot.
