Working Group.

f) Letter of Resignation: To formally receive letter of resignation from Cllr. F.

Richards.

8. TOWN CLERK'S REPORT.

8.1 Burial Grants and approval of memorials.

No Burial Grants had been issued and no memorials had been approved since the last meeting. Two burials had taken place and one interment of ashes.

8.2  NALC/EALC Communications: October DIS had been circulated electronically. Making the Links communications will be circulated electronically when received.

8.3 Work Management.

a) General. Autumn clearance of the Old Cemetery had taken place and overhanging vegetation cut back. A volunteer group has also been busy removed ivy from walls and tidying the Old Cemetery. The sycamore in the pavilion garden has had a 50% reduction and an oak tree in the Old Cemetery reduced to the boundary. A fallen tree adjacent to Elm grove has been removed and dead trees adjacent to plot 30 at the allotments have also been removed.

Lights in the WL Hall had been repaired and a replacement heater installed over the entrance door. Broken glass removed from the skatepark and a gate on the KGV field repaired. A new bin installed at the Pontoon and repairs to the cargo net on KGV play area. A demonstration of a steam cleaner had also taken place. The number of visitors to the Council Offices for the month of October totalled 303.

9. FINANCE.

c) 2015/2016 External Audit Annual Return and Annual Governance statement.

To note that the Annual Return had been signed and approved by the External Auditors,

PKF LittleJohn LLP, and there were no matters of concern and all relevant legislation

and regulatory requirements had been met.

Meeting.

9.3 List of Payments made from the Imprest Account since the last Town Council

Meeting.

9.4  Motions Under Standing Orders Recommending Expenditure.

9.5  Appeals for Financial Support.

a) St. Mary’s Church Welcome ceremony for St. Nicholas

To consider request from Rev. Lammens that the Town Council sponsor the

cost of the traditional ‘Sinterklaas’ sweets as per previous years. Cost £65.
