OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To generate sales revenue and income streams for Cornwall College in order to achieve the organisational goals
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a sales plan for business customers in Cornwall in conjunction with the Business Relationship Manager
  • Develop and lead on regular contact with college delivery teams
  • Deliver sales targets through a clearly defined strategy
  • Grow business through new and existing customers
  • Maintain college systems with up to date and accurate information
  • Reporting weekly activity and sales figures to the management team
  • Manage and control individual expenses in line with department policy
  • Visit key account customers on a regular basis to build long term relationships
  • Work in conjunction Senior Business Advisor/Business Relationship Manager to prepare data required for training proposals
  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve individual targets
  • Work together as a team to deliver team targets
  • Measure, monitor & review individual performance with the management team
  • Produce monthly progress report for the Business Relationship Manager, attending regular meetings to review business opportunities
  • Attending seminars conferences and other functions as and when required
  • Carrying out training need analysis with employers
  • Regularly carry out proactive outbound sales calls

Qualifications:Essential:
Hold or train in NVQ level 3 & 4 Advice and Guidance and Sales management
Desirable:
Hold an appropriate vocational/technical and/or professional qualification.
Experience:
Essential:Experience of working in an external customer focused environment
Experience of working in a team to deliver key targets
Experienced in performing to set KPI’s
Access to transport at all times as business demands
