Living Museum Assignment
Your assignment is to research a famous person that has been chosen for you. You will need to research and write a biography on this person.
What you will need:
- 2- Page Biography- You will research this in class. The purpose is so you will understand your person more fully. Then, you will be able to better act like the person.
- Poster or Construction Paper to be displayed by you in the museum. This is to be neat, colorful, and creative. It will need to contain the following information:
- Name of the famous person
- Picture of the famous person
- Dates the person lived
- What the person is famous for
- Top 5 most interesting pieces of information about the person (awards won, movies made, marriages, and scandals/ juicy information J)
- Costume you can wear to become this person. This means you need to dress like what this person would.
- A pose. This will be your position in the living museum. It should represent your character, should be comfortable to you and you can use any props you deem necessary, as long as they are realistic. (Use your best judgment on your props)
- One minute monologue. This is something that is spoken by you as that person. You must attempt to sound like this person. You will use accents, slang words that this person would use tone of voice and expression. You will need to also move during the monologue. You may use your prop during this time. The monologue should be something that this person would actually say or something you create for them to say.
- The museum. When we perform you will need to strike a pose and wait for someone to push your button. You button will be a round circle that says start on one side and blank on the other side.
