Dear Parents/ Carers
SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY
In order to encourage a sense of identity and to avoid the extremes of fashion, our children wear school uniform.
Brown sweatshirt with school embroidered logo
Brown sweat cardigan with school embroidered logo
White or Gold Polo shirt with school printed logo
Girls - brown skirt, pinafore or grey trousers.
Yellow/white check dress in the summer.
Boys - grey trousers
Grey shorts in the summer
Sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts and brown skirts can be purchased from the school office.
Please ensure that your child has sensible black or brown shoes for school. Trainers and boots are not to be worn. Summer shoes must not be the ‘strappy’ type but must enclose the foot.
Long hair must be tied back for school. Hair bands should be brown, black or yellow. Children’s hair should be appropriate for school and not dictated by fashion. Eg. lines/ patterns.
ALL CLOTHING SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME.
For PE your child needs: A gold ‘T’ shirt with school printed logo, black shorts (both obtained at the school office). Plimsolls are needed for Nursery-Y2 pupils. Trainers are needed for Y3-6 pupils. These are to be kept in a PE bag at school. For Y3-6 a plain black tracksuit is required during the colder months for outdoor games.
Book bags are available from the school office. Pupils receive their very first book bag free from the school. Pupils should not bring in handbags but can bring in a plain rucksack/ satchel to carry their books, homework and homework diaries.
Thank you for respecting our school uniform policy. Please ensure that as from 17th April 2012 all of the above rules are followed to help our school to maintain a high standard of presentation and unity.
Yours sincerely.
