Continuing discussion of health issues, specifically prostate cancer, and wider serious illness survival, the co-host is Alan Hopwood, cancer activist. They are joined by Amanda Hordern, Spokesperson, Cancer Council and Simon Buckley, cancer awareness motorbike rider, who circumnavigate the world on a motorbike to raise awareness of prostate cancer and men's health. Hordern says that the Cancer Council Hotline receives 69,000 calls, but only 29-30% who call are men. In order to understand how to get more men to check their health, St Vincent's Hospital and The Cancer Council held a forum and found the way to get men to the doctor is through women in their lives. Hordern is also finding the health discussion phone line or internet forums are especially useful for younger men with questions.
