The programme starts on 3rd May
The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is a FREE 12 week Personal Development course for young people aged 16-25. Teams usually consist of about 15 members. It is a programme designed to give young people experiences that they can use to reflect upon and improve their employability skills, gaining in the process a Prince’s Trust Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills.
The Prince’s Trust Team Programme aims to re-engage young people, helping them to refocus and think about their futures. It helps rebuild self-esteem, confidence and motivation by working as a team and for the local community. It’s all about getting young people out and about, facing challenges, learning new skills and realising their potential.
A rough break down of our 12 week course is:
• Week 1 Icebreakers- Getting to know each other through a variety of fun games, ice breaker activities and team building challenges.
• Week 2 Residential- We take the team away on an action packed activity week designed to develop motivation, confidence and team work and challenge them to break out of their comfort zones!
• Week 3-6 Community Project- The team will fundraise and aim to complete a community project that they have chosen and planned themselves
• Week 7-8 Work Placements- An opportunity for the team members to try out a job that interests them.
• Week 9 Next Steps- Job searches, interview techniques and C.V. workshops.
• Week 10-11 Final Challenge- The team organise and raise funds for a challenge. It will be a project that is of benefit to the local community.
• Week 12 Final Presentation- The team plan and host a presentation of their achievements to their family, friends and sponsors.
The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is 100% free to anyone unemployed and not in education and they could still claim benefits.
