Kidsfirst Kindergartens is Canterbury Westland Kindergarten Association, Mo ngaTamariki me nga Whanau o Waitaha me taiPoutini, the largest provider of early childhood education in the South Island. We are currently looking for motivated and professional individuals to join our team as Education Service Managers (ESM)in a permanent capacity. These positions would start at the beginning of the 2018 year (mid-January).
As an ESM, you will be a member of the Education Service Team based in our Association Head Office. You will provide professional and strategic leadership to a group of services to guide the delivery of quality education for young children. You will spend time in your services and give feedback and support to teachers about the educational programme. You will also ensure their compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. Your role will be to build and maintain strong professional relationships between your teams and the Association and to contribute to the achievement of strategic goals.

  • The motivation and ability to improve learning outcomes for children and families / whanau
  • Full teacher certification with the Education Council Aotearoa New Zealand and current practicing and first aid certificates
  • Knowledge and commitmentaroundte reo Māoriand the principles inherent in Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
  • Tertiary (degree) qualification relevant to the role is required and a relevant post graduate qualification would be highly desirable
  • Travel around the wider Kidsfirst network will be required.
