CDAC SHOW PLAN FOR 2009

Dear all,

Please note that we intend to break for lunch and the time will be announced on the day.

We received LOTS of offer for help and if your name is not shown overleaf we may ask on the day. Thank you.

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU toRedgates Agility Cluband Suffolk Five Rivers Agility Clubfor providing ring parties.

If you have entered one of the box pair’s classes on your running order(s), next to this class, the number in brackets is your pairs partner’s show number.

Below is a guideline of the rules for the box pair’s classes. Please please listen to the briefings on the day for the full rules.

Grade 1-2 Combined Box Pairs - Judged by Gary Bowles

You can only be eliminated if the two dogs can not get round the course twice within the course time. When the course time is up a double whistle will blow and you should make your way to the finishing jump.

Whilst within course time standard KC rules will apply except you will not be eliminated for wrong course you will just gain faults.

When you hear the whistle please make your way back to the start box as soon as possible. You can not handle your dog on the way back to the box. If your dog takes any obstacles on its way you will collect faults. Once in the box you can handle your dog.

The second dog must then make their way to where the first dog went wrong. You can not handle your dog on route to the obstacle, if your dog takes any other obstacle on its way you will incur faults but the whistle will not be blown again until you have started where the last dog was fault.

Whilst in the start box you can handle your dog.

Grade 3-7 Combined Box Pairs - Judged by Nigel Rudd

First dog starts, if an error is made by that dog the Judge will blow a whistle and the dog and handler must return to the box. The other Handler waiting in the box must not look to see where the error took place, if they do a ‘box judge’ will blow a whistle then the handler and dog on the course will have to go back to the box and they will have to go back to the place on the course where the whistle was blown, doing no obstacles on the way.
