LESSON PLAN

LEVEL 5

·  Please follow the Lesson Plan Calendar for your session/day carefully.

·  Some sessions will need to present the most important concepts of 2 chapters on the same week for certain weeks.

·  PLEASE INCORPORATE LEARNING THE CORPORAL AND SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY (CHAPTER 24), AND THE PRAYER: HAIL HOLY QUEEN EARLY ON AND THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS THIS IS AN IMPORTANT THEME TO BE MASTERED IN LEVEL 5*** ADDITIONAL CORPORAL & SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY MATERIAL IS PROVIDED.

·  Unit Assessments are listed on the Lesson Plan Calendar and should be administered after finishing each unit when possible.

·  Opening and Closing Masses, 40 Hours, Advent Confessions, the Safe Environment Lesson, and Lenten Confessions are all posted on the PREP calendar.

·  The following lesson plan contains lesson sheets for every chapter in the text.

·  The lesson plans are designed to be a work sheet for the catechist, with blocks available for notes, and additional creative material he/she chooses to insert.

·  They are meant to be a guide, allowing you to substitute or be creative if you can still accomplish the same goal.

·  In this way, with open blocks available on the lesson charts, the catechist is free to insert, transfer information from a previous or other lesson that needs to be accomplished, etc.
