ENTRY FORM and TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Good Funeral Awards reward the unsung heroes of the funeral industry and enable bereaved people to say thank you for being there when we needed you.

If you are entering yourself or your company, please complete the entry form attached and write, in no more than 700 words, the story of your life as a funeral professional. If you wish to send further copies of supporting documentation in the way of testimonials, thank-you notes or newspaper cuttings, you can do so by post to the address below. These will not be returned.

NB If you want to enter another person or company for an award, please e-mail us at and let us know their contact details, which category you feel they deserve to win and why. If you choose to pay the entry fee on their behalf you are welcome to do so, please advise us if so and use their name as reference when making payment by BACS (see below).

We will then contact anyone who receives a nomination and advise them, and invite them to enter officially for the category in which they have been nominated.

Entries open on 18 April 2017 and close on 15 JULY 2017. We will still accept admissions up to 1 August, but any entry fee applicable will rise to £40.

Your entry will only be valid on payment of the entry fee. Entry fees should be paid by BACS to The Good Funeral Awards, (Sort code 77-50-23 Account no: 31347560), with your name as the reference.

If you are unable to pay by BACS, it is possible to submit your entry by sending a cheque in the post. Please make your cheque payable to ‘The Good Funeral Awards’ and send it to The Good Funeral Awards, 8 Savay Close, Denham Green, Uxbridge, Middlesex UB9 5NQ. It must reach us by 15 July 2017 unless you are making a late application and paying the higher entry fee, in which case the closing date is 1 August.

The purpose of the Good Funeral Awards is to enhance the reputation of the UK funeral industry by drawing attention to individual success stories in the trade.

We assume all businesses entering offer quality and value. The awards are based on the impressions of the judges and the evidence submitted to them. The Long List reflects our search for the best stories.

The judges will not enter into any correspondence with disappointed entrants.

An entry fee of £25 applies to every entry in each of the categories below, other than those marked with an asterix – these five categories are free to enter.
