Sample sites and distributions of three species of the soft-shelled clam genus Laternula, circum-Antarctic L. elliptica (Rothera Point - subtidal) temperate L. recta (Geelong - intertidal) and tropical L. truncata (SungeiBuloh Wetland Reserve – intertidal).Distributions for L. recta and L. truncatabased on Morton (1976). Distribution for L. ellipticaupdated from the Southern Ocean Mollusc Database (Griffiths et al. 2003).
