The Lansdowne Club is a private members’ Club in Mayfair, London, opening its doors to both men and women in 1935 and thriving today with over 8500 Members worldwide. Striving to be the best social, sports and residential Club in London, the amenities include: 73 bedrooms, fine dining restaurant, brasserie, café, ballroom, 6 function rooms and top of the range sports facilities.
The Lansdowne Club are currently looking for a Sports Manager to run their Sports department.
The Sports area consists of a 25 yard art deco swimming pool, Cardio and weights gym, 3 squash courts, exercise studio, fencing salle and treatment rooms. It is the sports manager’s responsibility to ensure that the department and facilities are operating to their full potential at all times.
You will be responsible for the departmental staff, which includes assistant manager, personal trainers and reception staff as well as fencing instructors, squash instructors and external contracted staff.
The sports area is one of the club’s key departments and you will be in charge of monitoring and managing the Sports finances, budgets, and KPI’s. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the department meets the Club’s commitment to exceeding the expectations of our members with great personalised service.
You will be working with the sport’s committee of members to guide the direction of the department. You will also be responsible for organising external sporting groups, teams and events for our members.
As a key head of department manager the position will include duty management shifts where you will be responsible for reactive response management across the club.
You will need to have excellent customer service skills, be flexible with your working hours and you will be required to work five days out of seven.

- A leisure-related degree or professional equivalent is desirable
