Purpose of Procedure
/ The purpose of this procedure is to instruct the Telephony Technician on how to add, change or delete features in the DMS Switch.

Prerequisites
/ It is assumed the following is true and will be completed prior to starting this procedure:
·  The Telephony Technician has reviewed the Remedy Trouble Ticket (TT).
·  The Telephony Technician has verified the CLLI Code using the T1 Master (JA128).
Systems Used
/ The following systems are used to complete this procedure:
·  Citrix
·  ConnectVu
Procedure
/ Add, change or delete features in the DMS Switch by completing the following:
Step / Action
1 / Access Citrix by completing the following:
·  Double-click the <Terminal Server> icon located on the desktop (“Alta,” “Snowbird” or “Whistler”).
·  Acknowledge the “AT&T System Warning Notice.”
·  Click “OK.”
·  Type <User name> and <Password>.
·  Click “OK.”
·  Acknowledge the “AT&T System Warning Notice.”
·  Click “OK.”
Result: “Citrix ICA Client” (Citrix desktop) will appear as shown in Figure 1.
Note: If Citrix is not installed, refer to Installing Citrix Client for Access to ALS Terminal Servers (MP245).

2 / With the Citrix desktop still open, access ConnectVu by completing the following:
·  Double-click the “ConnectVu” icon.
Result: “ConnectVu ATP-Xstart Client Startup Info” will appear.
·  Type <User ID> and <Password>.
·  Click “OK.”
Result: “conp.ksh” and “CONNECTVU ATP” screens will appear as shown in Figure 2.

3 / With the “ConnectVu ATP” screen open, verify the “RCLINK” is available by completing the following:
·  Click “OFFICES” on the menu bar.
·  Select <appropriate SWITCH CLLI> from the drop-down menu.
Result: “Error and Message Status” box will appear as shown in
Figure 3.
If the “RCLINK” circle appears… / Then…
Green / Proceed to Step 4.
Red / Contact the ConnectVu Helpdesk at 303-712-5725.

4 / With the “ConnectVu ATP” screen still open, create a transmittal coversheet by completing the following:
·  Click “ORDER CMDS” on the menu bar.
·  Select “COVER SHEET” from the drop-down menu.
·  Click “INPUT.”
Result: “TRANSMITTAL SHEET {COVER}” will appear as shown in Figure 4.
·  Type <Initials>_<Current Date> in the “*ORDER” field.
Example: TR_11-06-00
Note: Every time you send a change through to the DMS Switch within a 24-hour period, you must create a new cover sheet with a new name for additional changes.
Example: First change of the day = TR 11-06-00
Second change of the day = TR1 11-06-00
Third change of the day = TR2 11-06-00, etc.
·  Click “ACCEPT.”
·  Click “ACCEPT” again.

5 / With the “TRANSMITTAL SHEET {COVER}” still open, complete the following:
·  Click “TABLES” on the menu bar.
·  Select “S TABLES: è” from the drop-down menu.
·  Select ”SERVORDGUI” from the drop-down menu.
·  Click “INPUT.”
Result: “DMS100 Switch SERVORD String GUI {SERVORD}” will appear as shown in Figure 5.
·  Click “ACCEPT.”
6 / With the “DMS100 Switch SERVORD String GUI {SERVORD}” still open, add, change or delete features by completing the following:
·  Click “INPUT.”
·  Type <appropriate SERVORD Command String> in the “Command String List” field.
Note: For details on DMS Commands refer to pages 13-16.
·  Click “ACCEPT.”

7 / Complete the following to “Ready” the order:
·  Click “ORDR CMDS” on the menu bar.
·  Select “READY ORDER” from the drop-down menu.
Result: “READY ORDER” box will appear as shown in Figure 6.
·  Press [Enter].
Note: Do NOT use the [Enter] key on the “10-key pad.”
Result: “READY ORDER” box will appear as shown in Figure 7.
·  Click “YES.”
Note: This takes your RC number from “Open” to “Ready” status.

8 / With the “READY ORDER” box still open, send the RC to the Switch by completing the following:
·  Click “RC CMDS” on the menu bar.
·  Select “SEND RC” from the drop-down menu to send RC to the Switch.
Result: “SEND ORDER” will appear as shown in Figure 8.
·  Select “Error and Message Status” box, as previously shown in Figure 3, to verify that the Request Change has been transmitted to the switch.
Note: This may take 3-4 minutes to complete.
-  If “Yes”: Proceed to Step 9.
-  If “No”: The order will show as rejected in the “Error and Message
Status” box, and you must refer to a Senior TRAC
Technician. <End>.
9 / Determine if additional provisioning needs to be performed:
·  If “Yes”: Return to Step 5.
·  If “No”: Proceed to Step 10.

10 / Logout of ConnectVu by completing the following:
·  Click “QUIT” located right of “HOME” on the “ConnectVu ATP” menu bar.
11 / Logout of Citrix by completing the following:
·  Click “Start” on the Citrix Start-up menu.
·  Select “Logoff” from the drop-down menu.
Result: “Logoff Windows NT” screen will appear.
·  Click “OK.”
