5/27/15: Last meeting of the year guys! :( (Although, Have a good summer)
Elections: That is pretty much what we did for thirty-five minutes.
-Thank you to all that ran! Good luck in all your future endeavors.
-For the results, please check the main page. Next year's board has been decided.
E-waste: We raised $300. Not bad for the lack of attendance.

5/20/15: Safran had her freshman meeting today, so the elections were not conducted. The next, and last meeting will be next week, May 27.

5/6/15, 5/13/15: No meetings.

4/29/15
Go Green Week
-Safran brought cupcakes! Congratulations on Go Green Week; It was unlike anything we've ever had.
-There were two entries in the art contest. Stay tuned for information on the winners.
-The e-waste didn't go so well :( There wasn't much turn out. Oh well, we'll do better next time.
Elections
-This is probably the last productive thing we'll be doing this year. Maybe next year's board will plan something else, but I dunno.
-It will be held after AP Testing on May 20, 2015.
-We will be voting for President, Vice, Historian and I think Treasurer
-There will be no meetings until then.

4/8/15
Beach Cleanup
-The cleanup has been moved to April 25 (two weeks later)
-Permission Slips were handed out today.
-Otherwise, same as last week (check below).
E-waste
-The event will be on Saturday April 18 from 10AM to 2PM.
-There will be two shifts. Register or change your shift at the next meeting.
Go Green Week
-Keep working on your committees!

3/25/15
Hike
-We have a hike on the first Monday of Spring Break (3/30/15) at 10AM at Sycamore Canyon.
-Ask Mike if you would like to go.
Beach Cleanup
-We have a joint beach cleanup withSave Our Sea-life (S.O.S)
-This event will be on Saturday, April 11.
-We will need permission slips which will be distributed at the next meeting.
-It will be at the Ventura Beach with the pier from 10AM to 12PM.
-Check the Beach Clean Ups page under Ways to Get Involved.
-Directions:
From the high school, turn left towards Flynn. At the Flynn intersection, turn right onto the 101-Freeway Southbound. Drive on the road for about 16 miles. Exit Vista Del Mar Dr. (Exit 69) and merge onto Vista Del Mar Dr. Turn right onto Harbor Blvd and the pier should be on the left.
Go Green Week
-This is probably our biggest event of the year.
-You are organized into committees. Please meet up with this committee to discuss ideas and course of action.
-Last year we had a band play as well as booths around the quad. This didn't work out so well.
-We will have a tree planting somewhere on campus; we are currently contacting the administration. We voted on the trees two weeks ago.
-Does anybody want to make a mural in celebration of Earth Day? Lauren N. will be in charge of that.
-We will most likely have something in coordination with Engineering Club and maybe Save Our Sea-life (S.O.S).
-This event will take place the entire week of April 20-24.
-Contact Mike for more information on committees.

Camarillo Grove Park
-At Camarillo Grove Park, we will be doing garden planting.
-If you are interested, you can just go.
-It will be this Saturday, on February 21 at 6968 Camarillo Springs Road, Camarillo.
-You can plant trees, flowers, and other things from around 8AM-4PM.
-Please meet at 8AM if you can, otherwise just come/leave at your own convenience.
-You have to work a minimum of 2 hours.
-Bring your own gardening gloves.

Dress Drive
-We will be having a dress drive with TEENS Club from now to prom. I think we are collecting prom dresses.
-These dresses will b e donated to those students who need dresses, and maybe to Casa Pacifica.
-Stay tuned for more information.
Other Events
-There is an e-waste in the middle of Match (in 1 month).
-We are having a battery collection soon. We will just be collecting batteries in general (although I don't think car batteries count).
-Think of ideas we could do for Go Green Week (in 2 months).
2/11/15
Hike to Paradise Falls
-At 10AM (approximately), we will be hiking at Wildwood Park in Thousand Oaks.
-We will be going to see the waterfall (Paradise Falls) on Saturday, March 7, 2015.
-Please bring your own supplies (e.g. sunscreen, water, hiking boots).
-Sign up at the next few meetings.

Beach Cleanup
-The beach cleanup will be at Silverstrand Beach from 9AM-11AM.
-Afterwards, we will just be hanging out. In the middle of Ventura. Bring cash for food.
-Please bring your own supplies because it is kind of costly for the club to buy everyone individual bags.
Dress Drive
-Mrs. Safran has given us all these dresses, so we will probably be hosting some kind of drive to gain more.
-We will probably donate them to another organization, or low-income students.

12/17/14

Hikes
1. The hike is rescheduled to December 28 at Sycamore Canyon. Hopefully, PCH isn't closed.
2. There will also be a hike on January 10 at Wildwood Regional Park in Thousand Oaks.
3. On January 19, there is another hike at Los Robles.
T-Shirts
1. T-Shirts are coming after the break!Yay! J They will be about $12.
Community Service Hours
1.All community hours needed for attendance and the e-waste are to be signed in the next several weeks.
Elections
1.Treasurer elections are next week. Please come to vote or if you want to run for this position. There will be a lot of paperwork!
2015
1. We need ideas for what we will be doing next year! Please bring your ideas to the next meeting.
2. Current ideas: Beach Cleanups (late January), Collaboration with Engineering Club, Paper Shredding, E-waste (March), Recycling Committee, Toy Donations to Casa Pacifica, Field Trip to Patagonia

12/10/14

Sycamore Canyon Hike
1. The hike has sadly been canceled due to the fast degradation of the soil by the great amount of precipitation in a small time period (landslide).
T-Shirts
1. T-shirts are coming soon, probably after the break.
2. They will be about $12.
Community Service
1. If you would like your meeting hours for community service, bring your forms the next two meetings to get them signed.
2015
1. The new year is almost here and we still need to brainstorm ideas on what we're going to do! Bring your ideas the next meeting.

E-waste Event
1. The event went fairly well. Thank you to all of those that came.
2. If you have not gotten your service hours yet, ask Alex for your hours and then go to Mrs. Safran to get them signed.
Las Colinas Beautification
1. It will be on 12/6 from 8-10AM.
2. Only two people signed up, but if you would like to come, email
Sycamore Canyon Hike
1. We will have a hike on December the fourteenth. It will be a Sunday.
2. We do not know when we are leaving yet, so stay tuned at the next meeting!

E-waste Event
1. Review of the Works Shift List and if you want to make changes, contact the above email addresses immediately.
2. If you want to do a last minute passing out of fliers, go ahead!
3. Please show up 15min early if you have the morning shift.
4. If you take the afternoon shift, you may need to stay for about 15 min.
5. Bring signs if you can.
6. Wear either Camarillo High gear (general, sports, asb, clubs, etc.) or neutral colors.
7. Don’t forget to bring water, a hat, or snacks. (I think Safran will be providing food and water though)
After the Turkey Break
1. You can sign up for Las Colinas School Beautification at the next meeting; it will be on 12/6 from 8-10AM.
2. The hike on 12/13 is rescheduled due to the ACT. :( :( :(
3. We are probably going to do another beach cleanup and hike during/after the holiday break.

Beach Cleanup
1. It's on Saturday November 15th at the beach across the sand hill (with all the RV's) from around 9 A.M.-11 A.M.
2. We will be meeting at across the street from the sand hill at 9 am.
3. Please carpool! We are, after all, trying to save the planet!
4. Don't forget sunscreen, hand sanitizer, water, and a snack.
5. If you can, bring supplies like trash bags or gloves.
E-waste Event
1. It's on November 22 from 10AM-2PM at the Lower Lot of the school.
2. We still have about 800 little fliers, so if you can, pick some up in Safran's room and distribute them.
3. If you still want to make a newspaper ad, talk to Mike
4. Check the attachment above to see if you have the correct shift. If you do not like your current shift, please change it at the next meeting! It will be the last meeting before the actual event.
Donation
1. Today, we voted on which organization we would be donating $100 to, and it looks like Reef Check won.

T-Shirts
1.Voted on T-Shirts today. The dark green shirt was selected.
2. Ruth Zurcher designed them, so thank her some time!
3. They will cost around $11.50-12.00. If you can, please buy one!
E-waste Event
1. It's on November 22 from 10AM-2Pm at the Lower Lot of the school.
2. Fliers and Banners will be posted around school and the town, so please help with that! Safran can sign your hours off if you do.
3. We are considering a newspaper ad, and if you would like to help, talk to Mike.
4. We are making signs at lunch on 11/10 (Monday). If you would like to come, please do.

Costume Drive
1. We still need costumes for the event on Friday and we only have a couple more days to collect.
2. We need people to help make signs for the event Thursday the 23rd at lunch.
3. If you want to be pulled out of sixth period early to help set up for the event, we will need your ID number.
Future Events
1. Please look at our calendar of events page for a complete calendar of official dates for the club.
2. In November we have a Beach Clean Up planned for the 15th and an E-waste event planned for the 22nd.
3. In December al we have planned is a hike on the 13th.
4. We will be looking into an event in which we will collect old toys and/or clothing/blankets and donating them to charity for the holiday season.

Costume Drive
1. Thank You for posting a flier in your homeroom class. If you still need one, talk to Mike.
2. Bring in costumes. If we don't have enough costumes, we will have to cancel the event.
3. Canceling the event would not only be embarrassing, but will prevent another opportunity for members of the club to obtain service hours.
4. We have taken names for those who will be helping to create posters for the costume drive tomorrow at lunch.
5. We also took names for those who would like to help at the actual event.
6. If you would like to help, the event is from 3-6 after school on the 24th.
7. We will probably pull you out of 6th period a half hour before school is out to help with set up.
