Physical Education Exemplar Policy Statement
Dear Colleague
It gives me great pleasure to forward to you a copy of the above document*. There have been many requests for such guidance recently and the Consultative Group who produced the exemplar hope that it will be helpful to you in your school.
The policy statement is from an imaginary but typical Primary school and should be seen as providing a framework for developing your own information*.
The needs of the children in your own school and the adjustments resulting from the review of the National Curriculum will obviously need to be considered in finalising your own policy statement.
If you would like to have some assistance in personalising your policy statement for Physical Education, and or, classroom support to deal with the practical issues involved, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be delighted to visit you and work with your staff to aid your development.
If you have any comments regarding the policy statement, I will be pleased to receive them.
Yours sincerely
Dr S.R. Lloyd
Adviser/Inspector for Physical Education
