March 2013 Newsletter

The year has started well with a visit from Juvela in February. Rosemary and team prepared 6 dishes within the hour which we all enjoyed sampling and sharing. Dan and Claire from Glorious Fodder promoted their small GF local company. Their chocolate brownie was absolutely delicious, but it didn’t last long enough.

In March, a small group had the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Ipswich, learn about Ipswich’s history and enjoy a coffee and GF cakes in her parlour. You can see photos of the event on the facebook page. My thanks to Lynn for organising the event for us.

Angie has started a pub event on the first Tuesday of each the month, down at the Brewery Tap in Ipswich.

We are in the process of refreshing the list of local places that provide GF meals. Please email me if you have had a good experience at any pubs, local restaurants and we’ll share the list on the coeliac uk web site.

As promised in the last newsletter, the committee has planned a number of events for the year. I hope that there is something for everyone from meals out, walks and afternoon teas!
