New manager at Schmersal tec.nicum
Seminars bring designers and users up to date
Wuppertal, 23rd January 2015. In January of this year, Siegfried Wolf took over the management of the Schmersal "tec.nicum" training centre. His predecessor, Uwe Wiemer, has switched to become the works manager at Böhnke + Partner Steuerungssysteme GmbH, a Schmersal subsidiary.
Siegfried Wolf has worked for the Schmersal Group for more than 15 years. Among other things, he has been product manager for safety-related controllers, bus systems and analysis devices. In recent years, he has successfully coordinated and expanded Schmersal's CE network, which is an association of engineering companies in Germany. It was founded back in 2006 and is an additional service from Schmersal as part of its Safety Consulting division.
Siegfried Wolf has in-depth safety-related theoretical and practical knowledge. The electrical engineering graduate is a certified Functional Safety Engineer (TÜV Rheinland) for mechanical engineering. He has been in demand as a speaker for some time - both at the University of Wuppertal and Schmersal tec.nicum. He built up the new tec.nicum seminar centre in Hamburg and was also responsible for putting together the tec.nicum seminar programme for 2015.
"In the complex subject area of machine safety, it is important to remain at the cutting edge," explains Siegfried Wolf. "Our tec.nicum seminar programme provides sound information from expert speakers on current issues. This year, I hope that as many manufacturers and users of machines and systems as possible will be able to utilise this Schmersal service."
