Marketing Communications Manager

Location: London SW1

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week (as per needs of the business).

Position:Permanent

Salary: Competitive & dependant on experience

Objective of the role

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Customer Experience of Citibase, the role will see this candidate working across the entire business network communicating with a range of key stakeholders including senior managers, Operation Teams, SME Customers, Building Owner Clients and suppliers.

The role will take responsibility for a wide range of marketing communications activity including:Customer, office broker and building owner Client campaigns and marketing material; assisting with event organisation and planning; database management; e-newsletters; and PR amongst others. In addition, the role will be a key guardian and champion of the Citibase brand to ensure all employees and comms material adhere to the company branding guidelines.

Our goal is to deliver an experience to our Customers and Clients that sets us apart from our competitors. The role will have the ability to increase revenue and drive brand awareness in order to encapsulate and achieve Customer loyalty.

Our goal at Citibase is to be the largest provider of Business Centres to SME’s, start-up’s and entrepreneurs in the UK. As Marketing Communications Manager, you will have the flair in order to help drive our strategy forward.

Main duties and responsibilities

Marketing communications

  • Management and production of all marketing communications material to support the Citibase brand – both to the SME Customer (occupier) audience nationally and for individual centres; office brokers; and to the Building Owner Client audience
  • To include centre brochures and flyers, signage, direct mailings, press advertising etc
  • Writing of copy for marketing comms activity including for brochures, flyers, blog content etc
  • Management of photo shoots for new centres and any other photography requirements
  • Sourcing of any promotional merchandise or material

E-newsletters

  • Management and production of the monthly Connect e-newsletter to all internal employees – planning and sourcing of stories and news; writing of copy; creation of newsletter on the dotmailer system
  • Production of any other adhoc internal e-newsletter communications
  • Management and production of other email marketing campaigns and newsletters including to brokers, the CEO blog to building owners etc

Contact database

  • Responsibility for management and upkeep of the Building Owner Client contact database

Office broker marketing

  • Planning and production of marketing campaigns to support the Citibase brand and individual centres to office brokers in support of our Sales team
  • Including production of flyers and other collateral, online listings, e-mail campaigns on our dotmailer system, presentations, ensuring brokers have all up to date photography

PR

  • Assisting the Director of Marketing with the planning and execution of Citibase’s PR activities/liaisons with PR agency
  • To include amongst others PR to support new centre launches; events; thought leadership columns; building owner targeted messaging etc
  • Managing the quarterly Citibase Business Confidence Survey

Events

  • Management and organisation of any company events including centre open days/launches, broker events, company conferences

Brand and communications guardian (‘Logo-cop’)

  • Responsibility for ensuring all marketing comms activity and all employees adhere to the company communications and branding guidelines
  • Ensure all guidelines are kept up to date and are easily accessible by all employees on the intranet

Experience/skills and abilities

Person specification

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a broad marketing communications role in a customer focussed environment.
  • A completer finisher who is highly organised, focused and thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exemplary and creative copywriting ability
  • A confident self-starter with excellent problem solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement with the ability to operate with minimum supervision and direction.
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure with a resilient nature and a strong drive for results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Must approach problematic situations head on, be prepared to be a sounding board and able to provide appropriate solutions
