You’re the hypothetical head Student Director of McManus. You’ve been told by your supervisors that the goals for the McManus staff of 2010-2011 are TEAMWORK, SUPERVISION & COMMUNITY. You are responsible for the leadership of the live-in staff. Based on your understanding of the position (from the position description and other observable data), describe your action plan for facilitating teamwork and ensuring a just distribution of labor and challenge for the Student Staff. How will you ensure appropriate supervision of tasks? How will you manage to ensure work is done in consultation vs. isolation? What will be your supervisory style? Thank you for your interest in the Student Staff positions at McManus Living and Learning Center. These positions involve a selection, training and evaluation process intended to hire and supervise the best graduate student leaders available on campus.
