PARTTIME CARDIOPULMONARYTECHNOLOGIST
CARDIORESPIRATORY DEPARTMENT

HOURS OF WORK ( SUBJECT TO CHANGE):
- Must be able to work evenings and occasional weekend(subject to change)
- This position is cross site coverage (Finch and Church)
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Providing optimum quality non-invasive pulmonary function testing that will include spirometry, carbon monoxide diffusion, lung volumes, non–specific bronchial provocation inhalation challenge testing and administration of a bronchodilator medication by inhalation. Assist with home oxygen assessments.
- Related paper work andother duties as assigned
PRE-REQUISITES INCLUDE:
- Must have certification/registration or be in the process of certification with Cardio-Pulmonary Technologists (CACPT), registered as ‘Active Status’ and in good standing.
- Ability to operate/maintain equipment used for pulmonary diagnostic testing
- BCLS provider certification required.
- Practical experience with pulmonary function testing, including methacholine and exercise challenge testing.
- Experience performing home oxygen assessments is an asset.
- Must have demonstrated superior customer service and teamwork skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to listen and take direction effectively.
- Must be able to prioritize a busy daily workload.
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
- Effective computer and Meditech knowledge is preferred.
- The ability to perform basic troubleshooting skills and preventative maintenance
- Ensure infection control procedures are adhered to and revised/reviewed annually
- Must be able to maintain the patient record including filing and retrieval.
- Excellent attendance is required.
