Check-in and Check-out

Check-inThis takes place in the Laurel Hall Office. The hours are listed below:

Entire Summer Session (May 9th-August 27th): Students must check in at the hall office on Wednesday, May 14th between 7pm- midnight. Students cannot move into summer housing until Wednesday due to cleaning and preparing for summer housing. Laurel, WSA, Noble, Occum, and Nutmeg residents may stay in their spaces until the 14th. All other residents must vacate their assignments as of Friday, May 9th at 6pm. Please contact the Housing Office if you will need to be placed elsewhere if possible (we can accommodate you only if spaces are available, but it is not guaranteed).

Session A (May 16th-June 26th): Students must check in on Friday, May 16th between 7 p.m.-12 midnight. Students must leave summer housing Thursday, June 26th by 12 midnight.

Session B (June 27th-August 9th): Students must check in on Friday, June 27th between 7 p.m.-midnight. Students must leave summer housing Saturday, August 9th by 12 midnight.

Session C (July 20th-August 7th): Students must check in on Sunday, July 20th between 7 p.m.-midnight. Students must leave summer housing Thursday, August 7th by 12 midnight.

KeysYour current fob will be disabled for the summer after moving into summer housing. You will be issued a keycard for your summer spot upon check-in. You will be billed a $15 replacement fee if you do not return your key when checking out.

PlacementPlacements will be made on a random basis for the available apartments within Laurel Hall on a first-come, first-serve basis. Special needs will be accommodated to the best of our ability and must be noted on the form. Once placed, changes may not be available. We will do our best to accommodate roommate requests, but there are no guarantees.

Check-outAll summer residents remaining the entire summer will be required to move to their fall spots on Tuesday, August 12th between 7 p.m.–midnight. If you are moving to a hall without a kitchen, you will be responsible for your own meals. All check-outs will be done through the Hall Office according to the dates above. If you need to check out earlier than the scheduled checkout times, you must make arrangements with one of the RAs.

Please note that the Hall Office will be open from noon-2pm each day and 7pm-midnight each night, and will not be open at any other times during the day.
