- Grading Options
*To Earn an “A”Students must log a total of 14 or more hours. This
means averaging about 84 minutes per week.
*To Earn a “P”Students must log a total of at least 12 hours. This
means averaging about 72 minutes per week.
- Students may complete up to 2 hours of class time by researching on-line any topic related to the Tone Zone (health, nutrition, exercise, etc.). Hand written or typed notes with sources cited should be turned in at the Tone Zone front counter.

- A maximum of 60 minutes per day can count toward class hours.
No Food or Drink in the Tone Zone * Capped Water is OK

This is for all new students to the Tone Zone (Returning TZ students need to update file)
- Course syllabus & expectations will be reviewed.
- Required paperwork will be completed.
- Lockers will be assigned.
- New students will be taught to properly use the exercise equipment.
- Students will be expected to dress in workout clothes
- Plan on staying about 50 minutes

- Develop an awareness that regular exercise is a lifestyle activity that contributes to
general fitness, cardiovascular improvement, increased muscular strength and
endurance, increase flexibility and a reduction of stress. (LL)
Measurement Tools
- A weight scale and body fat testing are available for those students wishing to chart weight & body fat loss as a result of regular aerobic exercise. (LL)
- Students may complete up to 2 hours of class time by researching on-line any topic related to the Tone Zone (health, nutrition, exercise, etc.). Hand written or typed notes with sources cited should be turned in at the Tone Zone front counter.

- Students check their heart rate approximately every 10 minutes when working out.
Because of regular aerobic exercise, students will have to progressively increase their
workout to maintain the proper target heart rate. (LL)
