Discussion: -xxy has undertaken a wide range of CPD activities during the past year – local, national & international – and has again comfortably met the RCP CPD targets.
Delivered the annual bbbbbb Trust Lecture at BES-2011
Attended 29th consecutive annual BES meeting in March 2012.
Completes second 3-year term on RCPEd Council in December 2012 – this position provides an important voice for the NOS.

-Participation in national audit of complications post operatively
- Review of a clinical incident with the clinical governance team
Action: -Consider local audit of implementation of new SIGN guidelines

Discussion: -
Not an issue for concern. Excellent working relationships with colleagues in department and continue to be highly valued by xxxx
Continues to be an enthusiastic and appreciated teacher with several invitations as an external lecturer & chairman, both nationally and internationally.
Record of excellent feedback from recent GP seminar is filed in the Red Book.
Some concerns about training are detailed. He also expressed concerns about the inadequacy of the current ‘multifunctional’ NOS-DQM inspection visits (a very poor substitute for the previous robust JCHMT visits by external speciality peers).

Not an issue for concern. He attended a Revalidation Update in February 2012.
