College/Trade School Scholarship Program

Two scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded by the Lake Hopatcong Foundation in two categories, each of which relates to the work of the Lake Hopatcong Foundation and its mission. The scholarships will be a one-time gift, given to a senior in high school who is a resident (year-round or seasonal) of one of the four towns that surround Lake Hopatcong (Hopatcong, Jefferson, Mt. Arlington, or Roxbury) and has been accepted to an accredited college, university, or trade school.

The Lake Environment

This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a college-bound student who plans to study environmental science, environmental policy, ecology, or a similar field that focuses on the natural world and conserving the environment.

The Lake Experience

This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a college- or trade school-bound student who plans to go into a field that is related to the lake experience, including public safety, marine trade, aquatic athletics, etc.

Please fill out your personal category will be judged by a panel of LHF staff and volunteers. The judging will be merit-based and each application will be anonymous to the judges. Decisions will be announced to the high school’s guidance department or the student by Friday, June 9, 2017, and in coordination with any senior awards presentations.
