Seneschal’s Corner:
Greetings to the Shire of Al-Sahid,
Another year has come and gone so very fast, Highland War and Great Western are over. We have lots to plan and work out for next year’s calendar of event that are taking place in our little Shire, including Highland XXVI, our Anniversary and the Spring Crown Tournament. But as we dive in on planning let’s not forget the Holidays will be upon us before we know it including several great Yule’s in Caid and of course our own little Shire’s Holiday part where we all come together. I look forward to seeing everyone there and can’t wait to get started with next year’s events.

September Shire meeting minutes Officers reports: Art/science: Highland had 11 classes. A/c worked well. Youth Activities: Not present. Kids had fun, job well done chatelaine: Got all the clothes back that were lent out. Constable: will take pictures of lost and found and post soon. Chronicler: please send me things to put in the newsletter Exchequer: finalizing highland war event paper work Marshals: report filed
New Business: working on combing some of our march event. Since we have 3 in march. Coronation and our anniversary will be combined. Either on march 24th or march 31st. 40 year June 23rd, and art wars on march 10th, will also be in high desert.
Old Business: Highland war lost money this year. We have lots of t-shirts that need to be sold. Discussion of maybe moving the date of highland war
Problems that occurred: The main gate closing at 4:00 p.m, we needed more porter and troll help. Too much unaccompanied mundane foot traffic.Have designated people to sign off on volunteer hours. Shire members who get in for free for working should not do the volunteer raffle. There were complaints about the modern music being played in royal encampment. We need to mark parking lot better. We had too many porta potties.
Possible future problems: The park is thinking about opening the lake up for boats, so we may have problems at the boat dock.

Sunday open change at 8:30 a.m. and closed at 2:00 p.m.

Officers reports: Art/science: Great Western War classes went well. Youth Activities: Not present. chatelaine: Not present Constable: need to turn in lost and found Chronicler: Will be filing my report Exchequer: filing report Marshals: nothing to report Old Buisness: Dates for Crown and anniversary are finalized. Crown is on march 10th and shire anniversary is march 11th will be a camping event at Schmidt park. Art war will take march 24th, 25th. 40 year will be june 23rd, 24th. New Buisness:
Shire Yule will at Jar and clydes house December 16th starts at noon. Will eat about 2. Possible A/S class. We will have our traditional gift exchange again, with a $25. Max. The next shire meeting will be November 12th, starts at 3. There will be a fighter practice and A/S class before at noon at Killian andTeka’s house.
