Qualifications:
Oakes Public Schools is currently seeking candidates for the upcoming Teacher Leadership Academy (OPS-TLA) which will begin June 2016. Successful candidates must be able to meet North Dakota State University Graduate School admission requirements and have:
  1. At least 1 year of successful teaching. Preference will be given to teachers with three or more years of successful teaching experience, but others will be considered.
  2. An understanding of the process of school improvement and a commitment to life-long learning.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of good instruction and willingness to apply the research on best practice.
  4. Demonstrated potential as a successful leader.
  5. Participation in professional development activities designed to improve individual performance in the field of education.
  6. A commitment to leadership at multiple levels, and to service within the district.
  7. A commitment to participate in the requirements of the program.
