JOB DESCRIPTION No Limits

Post / Team Leader
RESPONSIBLE TO / Manager, Operations Manager and Deputy CEO
GRADE / NJC 26-30 £23,166 – £26,556
HOURS OF WORK / 37 hrs per week to include occasional evenings and weekends
PURPOSE OF POST / In conjunction with the Line Manager, to manage workers in the delivery of advice, information, counselling and support to children, young people and their families
Work Base / No Limits

Team Leader

  • To support the development and ongoing delivery of projects in conjunction with the Line Manager
  • To monitor performance to ensure agreed targets are met
  • To manage a rota to ensure that appropriate staffing at all projects in conjunction with the policies and procedures of No Limits
  • To ensure quality of service and maintain records to the required project standards, maintain and review client files to a high standard and preserve confidentiality
  • Line management of staff, projects, buildings, in conjunction with the policies and procedures of No Limits
  • Reporting any issues or concerns about children, young people and their families, the team or work practices to line manager
  • To keep up to date on issues that affect projects such as changes in government policy and local practice
  • To ensure best practise regarding safeguarding issues

Finance / Administration:

  • To ensure that the Manager/ Finance Manager have all the relevant information required in relation to time sheets, expenses and all moneys monthly or when required
  • To contribute to the monitoring and development of the Service by ensuring that young people’s records are checked, statistical data and financial information is maintained and quality assured
  • Undertake project reports and returns as required

Policy and procedures

  • Demonstrate work practice that encompasses an appreciation and awareness of No Limits policies and procedures and ensure all staff adheres to these practices
  • To be aware and demonstrate your responsibility under No Limits Health and Safety Policy, and report hazards to the appropriate person

Young people

  • To act as an advocate forchildren and young peopleand refer them on to other relevant agencies and services, as appropriate, to ensure their needs are appropriately met
  • Provide quality up to date information, advice and support which supports young people’s personal and social developmentand promotes healthy lifestyles
  • To promote the involvement of young people in the planning, delivery and evaluation of services

General

  • Assist the CEO to maintain and develop the services offered by No Limits
  • To liaise and network with relevant agencies / organisations, ensuring that the needs of young people are met and good practice and/or resources are shared, adding to the development of the service
  • To attend training and meetings as required and attendand participate in regular supervision
  • Support the development of the No Limits team and promote the work undertaken
  • To be able to offer a flexible working pattern that will include evenings and the occasional weekend and to undertake duty phone cover
  • Undertake other duties as required by No Limits
