HERTFORD HOCKEY CLUB END OF SEASON UPDATE

SENIOR SECTION

The season is just about finished with the Ladies 2’s still with one more critical game to come this weekend at Chiltern. A brief summary of the other teams is below

The Men’s 1’s were unfortunately relegated back to Division 3SW after just one season, a poor second half to the season, with just one league win meant they finished second to bottom. A big Thank You to departing Coach, Joel Forrester, for all his hard work over the last 3 years, which included 2 promotions and the promotion of the youth section of the club.

The Men’s 2’s after a mid-season dip finished a creditable fifth in Division 4SW, with a couple of wins in their last two games!

The Men’s 3’s completed a successful season back in Division 6SW, and finished a creditable fourth in the league which included being undefeated against the two promoted sides

The Men’s 4’s have won the Division 7SW with a few games to spare and continued their unbeaten record for the remainder of the season. Much credit must go to Dorian Kennedy for continuing his work with the youth section which we are beginning to see the benefits at the top of the club with both Johnny Goodson and Finn Kennedy playing for the Men’s 1’s

The Men’s 5’s finished a creditable fifth in Division 9SW, where win percentage was the gauge rather than points and with three teams walking away with the promotion spaces, another good season for Geoff and his army.

The Ladies 1’s will be looking for a couple more wins to finish the season to consolidate their mid table position in Division 2 Central

The Ladies 2’s still having one game to go, which if they win and depending on other promotion and relegation issues could see them safe.

The Ladies 3’s had to settle with fifth place in Division 3. But a successful season for Gilly and her girls.

And finally the Ladies 4’s who have had a better second half to the season and finished fifth in Division 5
